Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a second grade, special education (bilingual) teacher in a high-needs school in the Bronx.
This is my second year as a teacher and I have been blessed with very generous donors and colleagues who have donated a good amount of books to my classroom. While last year my problem was not having any books, this year, I find I have books, I just do not have enough book bins to put them in.
My class would really appreciate any help you could give so we can get some more book bins. This way, I could put more books out in the class library and not keep boxes of books in the closet due to lack of space. This would give the children more options when they select books to read (and hopefully spark some interests).
Your help will ensure that my students have the greatest variety of options available to them when it comes to their reading. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
