My Students
My school is located in Louisiana. Most come to school with few or no supplies, hungry, or dirty, and often stressed or afraid. Once those hurdles are cleared, then we can get down to the "real" work of school! Creativity is key to a happy classroom. To have this creative aspect, we must provide students with the tools that we are given. We are able to do this with the help of our community. We have to provide the students with the tools that allow them to succeed at what they are great at!
My Project
Our class is in need of a classroom bookshelf. We read on a daily basis. Our class needs the bookshelf to place all of the books we read daily.
The students will use the bookshelf on a daily basis to select books according to their lexile level.
They will read on a daily basis. Reading is very important in first grade. We read in our reading series as well as all of the other subject areas. This bookshelf would be very beneficial to our class.
We would be very appreciative of a place to hold all our special themed books. Thank you very much.
