Help me give my students new storage bins to store their new books around the room. Students also need new storage caddies at their tables, and their favorite story to read is the Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our kindergarten students are 4 and 5-year-olds who attend our local community school. All of the children are from low-income families and eligible for free lunches. Many of the students live in temporary housing including shelters or are doubled up with extended family members.
Many of my students struggle to come to school on a daily basis.
However, with constant outreach to parents and working with families, their attendance has been improving.
Our students are a special group of children who enjoy learning and are always curious about learning new things. They especially enjoy reading stories and writing their own books.
My Project
The storage bins will be used in order to store our wonderful books and make it easily accessible for students to grab a book anywhere in the classroom. The storage caddies will be used at student tables. This is where pencils, crayons, and erasers will be stored so students can easily use them. The first book we read as a class was The Three Billy Goats Gruff. I would like to give my students each an individual copy to read during independent reading time. This book is a class favorite that they enjoy reading. The paper towels will be used during snack to clean up our future spills and to dry our hands. Additionally the stretchy sensory bands will be used for our students who like to wiggle in their seat. This will make their legs and feet comfortable.
