My Project
We have the awesome opportunity in my classroom setting to have a sensory for students to take regulation breaks and work breaks throughout the school day. In our sefl-contained special education classroom, there can be many moving parts at one time, but this additional space attached to our main classroom provides students a quiet spot to assist them in their individual needs. It also provides a collaborative space for the students to engage with one another and work on functional social skills in a natural environment.
This space is a blessing, but is in need of functional storage options.
Currently we are using bins and bags. Having a structured storage with clear bins gives students the independent freedom to access the materials and clean up the materials independently to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for all students to use throughout the instructional day.
