Help me give my students tools for organization and storage in our classroom. Bookshelves, file organizers, earbuds, and pencil pouches will help our classroom run smoothly and ensure that every child has materials they need to learn successfully.
I teach an energetic and spirited group of 6th-grade students. In our school community, teachers and staff value each student as a whole person. Their interests, backgrounds, struggles, and successes - both in school and in the community - are what make our school a more unique and special place. The students and staff value diversity of all people and strive to make our school an inclusive environment where all students are empowered and can develop their greatest potential. My students are thinkers, entrepreneurs, athletes, world travelers, artists, mathematicians, scientists, comedians, teachers, authors, doctors, musicians... They are our future, and I want to give them a great start to their journey of life-long learning.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! Each student will have a magazine file organizer to hold their notebooks and independent reading materials; I am so excited to have students decorate them on the first day of school! Each child will also receive their own pencil pouch to hold their writing materials. Earbuds will help students stay focused on their independent learning when using our Chromebooks. A class set of clipboards is a simple way to allow for flexible seating, so that students can choose where they will learn best. And the bookshelves will help us consolidate materials in an organized manner. Middle school-age students need models for organization and planning, and your donation will help us do so!
