This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! Their enthusiasm for learning never ceases to amaze me. They work hard every day, staying engaged with hands-on activities and games that help them practice their skills and increase their knowledge. I love giving them the opportunity. We are a low socioeconomic area and highly diverse school in central California. Nearly all of my students' learning happens at school. Most of my students have not traveled beyond our city walls. We are a small school - with a big heart!
My Project
My amazing students come to class ready to learn, and ready to share what they know, collaborating with their peers. Unfortunately, they often also come to school ready to share whatever germs they have picked up along the way. My students needs supplies that will keep them, and me, healthy and germ free.
Studies show that when students improve their attendance rates, they improve their academic prospects and chances of graduating.
Hand sanitizers, sanitizing wipes, and access to quality tissues will go a long way to helping my students stay in school. When students are here and healthy, I can teach them anything.
