it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in an urban school district that is run by the City. A majority of my students come from low-income/poverty-level homes where English is not the primary language. The budget is super tight, so teachers are not able to request a lot of classroom supplies.
I need ink so that I can print pictures of vocabulary words, extra copies of lab activities and the occasional homework assignment for another teacher.
My students come to school eager to learn because they know that I will provide the needed materials for them.
I have a lot of ELL students who need extra practice with vocabulary. Being able to print pictures that they can match to science vocabulary reinforces the word and makes it more concrete for the student.
