One of my fourth grade students' favorite projects last year was designing and filming stop motion videos with Legos. The project allowed them to use their imaginations to design, write, and tell a story using the creative design process. This year, I would like for my students to have tablet stands to utilize during the filming process. These stands will allow my students to take more stable and consistent shots of each frame, which in turn will help them create more professional videos. We also need fabric ear covers for our headphones since the ear covers on our headphones are peeling away. Students will use the headphones to playback and add sound in their stop motion videos. Finally, we need zipper pouches to sort and store Lego props and black lights for creating special effects in the videos.
Supporting our classroom with these supplies will put tools in the hands of kids and will allow them to create more professional stop motion videos.
