My Students

What a class! My class this year is a combination of enthusiasm, apprehension, new students moving into the area and some who have been here since Kindergarten, but they have something in common for sure they want to learn.

As Mrs. Clinton quoted, "It takes a village to raise a child", this is such a true statement since many of my students could not afford the basic school supplies like paper, pencils, and crayons and help is needed for them.

My Project

Students will be able to explore and learn not only through the technology component with the use of the tablets but with the hands on reading using non-fiction materials of the Scholastic magazine.

Collaborative conversation between students taking place by reading and discussing far off places or examining scientific discoveries they observe in the magazines are priceless things for a teacher.

Students can do research on the tablet while staying at their seats and then complete the assignment by sending it to the teacher.

The aid of consumable magazines can incorporate their parents into their learning by providing a means to share, discuss, and dream about what if.....These magazines can extend learning by having students write about things which they have read and talked about.
