This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a kindergarten dual-language classroom (Spanish/English) comprised of over forty students. My students are absolutely wonderful! They are precious little souls, each different in their own way. They learn differently, think differently and all see the world just a little bit different. It's what makes each them unique.
Their young minds have a strong desire to learn and soak in everything that is being taught.
They are eagerly learning two languages. Their innocence and shape-able minds shed light to our school and give our campus sense of uniqueness.
My Project
Our classrooms are equipped with a variety of out-dated sitting devices. In the small group setting, students need to be able to attend to the group while still being able to "wiggle” and move using these stools.
These chrome stools will be used throughout the entire school day for the majority, if not all, of my students.
They will be used at students' seats in place of a traditional classroom chair. The purpose of having these stools as a seating option is to enable my students to try something out to help satisfy their extra energy output.
These chrome stools have the potential to increase engagement, focus, motivation, and enjoyment of school. These stools will be able to be used for many years and will help students see that we all need different things to help us learn best!
