This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our recent district STEM Expo several of our students got to experience STEM at its best! They were given an opportunity to build rockets out of paper and launch them using Stomp Rockets. The goal was to land their rocket into a movng bucket! Our students thrive when they are given opportunities to have hands on experiences. There isn't a challenge that they aren't excited by, from building Lanternfly traps to creating rockets out of paper.
My students excitement about STEM is infectious.
I would love to give their curious minds more opportunities to show off there engineering skills.
My students represent numerous populations at a variety of learning levels. With hands on activities, especially STEM related, my students become more engaged and involved in their learning. It also provides a chance for students, who often find other subjects challenging, to excel at a subject like science.
