Help me give my students much needed classroom supplies! I am creating a new classroom within the Transition Program and my students need sensory materials, visual timers, cleaning materials, new curriculum and more!
The Transition Program in our school district assists 18-21 year old students in special education who are in need of comprehensive transition services. The goal of the Transition Program is to increase the students' ability to live independently, navigate the community safely, and positively contribute to their community. Instruction occurs in a variety of settings including school, community, and volunteer experience placements.
Students in our program have a variety of disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual and Learning Disabilities, Communication and Speech Delays, and Other Health Impairments.
A majority of the students receive Social Security and Medicaid and qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Often our students come from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds and do not have the resources to support activities at school and in the community.
My Project
I am starting up a new classroom within the Transition Program in my district. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to create a classroom to fit the needs of all of my students.
I need basic classroom supplies in order to meet each student's individualized needs!
I need sensory materials for my students and cleaning materials for my staff. I need new curriculum that I can use both in person as well as online if necessary this year.
My students deserve classroom materials that will meet their needs and enhance their ability to learn! Please help me provide a positive classroom environment for these students transitioning into adulthood!
