Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an incredible group of creative, curious, and hardworking learners. Despite facing challenges associated with attending a Title I school, they show up every day ready to learn and grow. What makes them truly special is their resilience and desire to succeed, even when resources are limited. They are eager to participate in class, collaborate with their peers, and take ownership of their learning.
The resources I am requesting will provide my students with the tools they need to thrive academically and creatively.
Whiteboards and dry erase markers will allow students to engage in interactive learning, practice math problems, and brainstorm ideas during group activities. Pencils, sharpeners, and erasers will ensure that every student has access to the basic supplies needed for writing and completing assignments. Highlighters and pens will help students stay organized and develop note-taking skills. Correction tape will support them in editing and improving their work with confidence.
Folders and zipper pouches will help students keep track of their materials and stay organized throughout the school year. Glue sticks and markers will enhance creative projects and interactive lessons, encouraging hands-on learning and artistic expression. The flashcards will strengthen math fluency, and the squishy toys will serve as positive reinforcement and a tool for managing classroom focus.
My goal with this project is to create a well-equipped, engaging learning environment where my students feel supported and empowered. Providing these essential supplies will eliminate barriers to learning and allow my students to focus on what matters most—exploring new ideas, building confidence, and achieving success.
