Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are curious, creative, and full of potential. They love participating in hands-on science activities, whether it's building models, creating posters, or organizing interactive journals. What I love most about them is their willingness to dive into learning, even when resources are limited. Many of them face financial hardships or lack support at home, but they still show up ready to learn, ask questions, and explore the world through science.
The supplies in this project—scissors, rulers, paper, pencils, glue sticks, sticky notes, highlighters, markers, colored pencils, poster paper, easel pads, and sheet protectors—may seem like simple materials, but they are essential to our classroom.
These tools help students complete labs, collaborate on group work, create visual learning aids, and stay organized. For example, glue sticks and markers help with science journals and anchor charts, while sheet protectors are reused for practice activities and notes.
Having these resources on hand ensures that every student, regardless of background, can fully participate in our lessons. With your support, we can create an inclusive, well-equipped space where learning is never limited by a lack of supplies.
