My Project
I am trying to turn the art room into a real, working art studio for my 200 students in Middle School and High School. Our school moved to a new location last year, and we are starting from scratch with supplies in the art room. For example, my students love to do hands on artwork, so I want to do a clay sculpture project with all 200 students. Also, we need a drying rack to put painted projects on, as well as a printer so I can expand the projects I do with the students. Having a printer would allow us to do photography based projects.
Many of my students love fiber and textile arts such as sewing and crochet.
I would love the students to be able to make plushies and learn hand sewing this year!
I want to provide a well-rounded, student focused, explorative arts curriculum for my students, and I need your help doing it!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
