Stocking a Student Hygiene Drawer - Providing Essential Supplies

Help me give my students the resources they need to address their personal hygiene requirements by stocking a student hygiene drawer with essential items.

My Project

I am writing to share an important new initiative I will be launching in our classroom - a student hygiene drawer. As a teacher, I have seen firsthand how lack of access to basic hygiene products can impact a student's self-esteem, attendance, and overall wellbeing. This is why I am passionate about creating a solution within our own classroom community.

The student hygiene drive will provide free personal care items to any student who needs them, with full discretion and no questions asked.

Items will be available in a private area of the classroom for students to take as needed. This will ensure that all of our students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn, without having to worry about lacking these essentials.

To make this program a success, I am asking for your support through donations. Suggested items include in travel or mini individual size:

Toothpaste (mini) and toothbrushes (individual wrapped)

Bar soap and body wash

Shampoo and conditioner (travel size)

Deodorant or deodorant wipes (travel size)

Menstrual pads and liners

Floss or floss pics (travel size)

Band aides

Lotion packets (travel size)

Tissues (travel or sample size )

Combs

Hair ties

Chapstick
