My Students
At our school, we service 670 fabulous children ages 5 through 14 in grades K-8 from all different nationalities, backgrounds, and living arrangements. As school nurses we help in supporting student success by providing health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. The school nurse addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students that helps support their achievement in the learning process. Here we place emphasis on meeting the unique needs of our children every day.
My Project
All the requested items on my list is to stock up on the things we use most often.
Cough drops are needed during allergy season as many students suffer from seasonal allergies.
Sore throats are irritating and can be a distraction.
Heating packs are used for those students who need a heating pad but would like to go back to class so they so not miss anything.
We are running out of cups due to water fountains still being shut down from Covid restrictions. We in the nurses office have a water jug to provide students with water as needed.
