My Project

Our school PRIDE store is a positive reinforcement program designed to encourage good behavior and academic achievement while celebrating our school mascot, the lion. Students earn PRIDE tickets by demonstrating our core values: Preparedness, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence. They use these tickets to "buy" items they enjoy each month, fostering a sense of responsibility and accomplishment.

This project will stock our PRIDE store with a variety of engaging items, such as basketballs, soccer balls, toy cars, animal figurines, Play-Doh, slap bracelets, scrunchies, and other fun rewards.

The selection ensures there is something for everyone, catering to diverse interests and promoting inclusivity.

Our school is home to students from diverse backgrounds, with 17 different languages spoken. Many are new to the United States and learning English for the first time. The PRIDE store provides a unique opportunity for these students to feel included and rewarded for their hard work, both academically and behaviorally.

These items are not only for personal enjoyment but also allow students to purchase gifts for family and friends during holidays and birthdays. This gives them a sense of pride in their ability to earn meaningful rewards while also sharing with loved ones. Stocking the PRIDE store ensures that all students have access to exciting, culturally sensitive rewards that celebrate their achievements and support their personal and social growth.
