Help me give my students a crockpot, blender, toaster oven, mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons, and cooking utensils to use the skills we learn to cook in the classroom.

My Students
I teach kindergarten in a rural low-income/high poverty school district.
My class consists of creators, explorers, readers, writers, artists, mathematicians, dreamers, scientists, chefs, and builders.
They have very diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Each child is unique and brings something special to our classroom. My students are full of enthusiasm and excitement to learn.
I work hard to bring learning to life for my students. It is important to me to make learning meaningful, hands-on, and fun. I want to provide my students with everything they deserve for the best education.
My Project
I am requesting cooking tools that will help bring my students learning to life. In literacy we learn about the four seasons and the life cycle of an apple. Making applesauce is a great way to wrap up this unit. My students love to help chop the apples, measure the cinnamon, and stir the apple sauce. Their favorite part- tasting! A crockpot, food mill, measuring cups, and spatula's will help make this possible. My students can also use these tools throughout the school year to make stone soup, hot chocolate on cold days, and so much more. The toaster oven is another tool that would benefit our classroom. We can use it to melt crayons when we learn about recycling. We can use the blender during this unit to make recycled paper.
Cooking is a great way to get students to apply many of the skills we learn in Kindergarten- reading recipes, measuring, counting, and so much more.
