My Students

My students walk into school every day with smiles on their faces and ready to learn. Their enthusiasm about their education is evident in the hard work that they put in and the fun that they have while doing it.

My class is a place where all students from various backgrounds and with different needs are made to feel welcome, safe and comfortable.

The students in our kindergarten truly enjoy being in school and look forward to coming each and every day.

Our school serves students in K-8 in an urban setting. My kindergarten students are hard-working and excited to learn. Our expectations are high and our students consistently surpass them! Students that come in without knowing a letter, and leave writing paragraphs!

My Project

Within the Kindergarten classroom, there are all types of learners. These sensory materials will be so beneficial to the students in our class. Every morning, the children are given time to socialize while working on literacy and math skills. Adding a sensory component to this time will make it more engaging and enjoyable for the students, while making sure to reach all students and their individual learning styles! With beads, sand and other various sensory materials, the possibilities are endless. The students can hunt for letters or numbers within the beads the students and can have fun while practicing all of their important Kindergarten skills!
