it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Just one month left of summer. It’s amazing. Over the last year I observed some students with great study techniques and others that are in need. Over the summer I have been working on how to properly introduce sticky notes and tabes as well as index cards.
This year my goal is teach them how to properly annotate readings.
And what it means to write their thoughts down on the side. This is essential for comprehension and critical thinking skills. I have listed below index cards, which student go through fast. As well as the most important, transparent and regular sticky notes. In which students will have space to write their ideas down. That way they can have their ideas on the same sheet of paper of the reading. Help me make this possible. I have included sharpies that students sometimes need, and can make writing more visible than pencil on the sticky notes.
My students are in the middle of their high school education. Before they know it they will be seniors. Annotating is a skills that will follow them to further education. Yet, it allows them to think about the reading, and make sure they understood the context.
