My students need 20 packs of eyeball stickers, 3 bags of glow star beads, and 10 sets of pattern block stickers to complete the rest of our projects for the year.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class of 23 diverse, urban kindergarten students live below the poverty line and are predominately English language learners who have not attended preschool. Most of them were four years old when they began kindergarten this fall.
Our teacher team works very hard to create hands on art projects that encompass the full range of curricular topics. Students complete a weekly science project on Fridays. These projects meet standards of learning parts of plants and animals in a developmentally appropriate, hands- on way. The students love to put sticker eyes on as a finishing touch. We also complete monthly mathematics projects using pattern block stickers-- snowflakes and snowmen in January, hearts in February and so on. In addition, we reinforce pattern concepts by stringing beads periodically throughout the year.
Our supplies of beads and stickers are currently running low. Since our budget is frozen this year, we hope that you will help us keep our projects alive in the new year.
