Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, unique, and eager to learn. They are in a self-contained special education classroom and thrive with structure, consistency, and hands-on learning. Each child brings their own strengths and challenges to the classroom, and I strive to create an environment that supports their independence and success.
This project will help fund Velcro dots needed for independent Velcro folders.
These materials are essential tools for our students with Autism and other learning differences. With visual schedules and task folders that “stick,” students can follow routines, complete tasks, and build confidence—one Velcro dot at a time.
Velcro is more than just a classroom supply—it's a key to independence. It allows us to create customized, interactive materials that students can use independently, helping them develop routines, fine motor skills, and task completion strategies. With your support, I can prepare more structured, individualized learning materials that meet each student’s needs.
