Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have an afterschool drumming group who performs several times throughout the year. The group is made up of 5th and 6th graders who have to audition and they perform at many community events as well as school functions. They work very hard and are dedicated to being the best performers they can be in order to positively represent our school.
This project will provide my students drum sticks that won't slip out of their hands as they perform.
Since we are in Texas, performing outside often comes with sweaty hands and slippery sticks during performances. These special sticks come with a special grip that will allow the students to hold on to the sticks better as they perform. Nothing is more embarrassing then for a stick to fly out of your hands in the middle of a performance! These sticks will allow the students to focus on having fun during the performance rather than worrying about losing their stick while performing.
