This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students look forward to Physical Education and I like to make my classes inviting and fun for them. My students come from low income families and coming to school gives them a chance to play all kinds of games using many different types of PE equipment that they have never seen or used before. My students are very special because they really appreciate all the games and the equipment they get to use on their PE day.

Using the different sizes and heights of the stepping stones, will give my students the opportunity to work on coordination and balance while at the same time challenging them.

Balance and coordination is something all students need to learn. They will use these skills in their everyday life continuing into adulthood. If they decide to do team sports or just an outdoor activity, they will need these skills to help them be successful. My students love to walk on a balance beam and use balance boards, these river rocks will give them a different way to work on balance and coordination.
