Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello! Our school building houses kindergarten, first and Autistic Support classrooms. We are located in Northeast Philadelphia.
Our students are hard working students who enjoy different learning styles.
The teachers enjoy teaching to different learning styles including kinesthetic, artistic and musical. We work together to create fun projects that engage all learning styles.
Our students come back a variety of backgrounds and a speak a variety of languages. We enjoy activities that bring all the children together to celebrate their similarities as well as uniqueness!
My Project
Hello! My school building includes Kindergarten, 1st Grade and an Autistic Support Classroom. This Earth Day, we had the opportunity to plant trees around our building. Each class chose a tree and a location around the school building.
We then learned how to plant trees.
Finally, we planted the trees as a class. We are responsible for watering the plant and assisting with the general upkeep of the tree! We want to create personalized stepping stones to commemorate the date, type of plant, and which classroom planted the tree. Please support us in purchasing stepping stone kits to create these!
