This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As I approach my second year of teaching, I want to be able to provide more supplies for my students. A majority of my students in the past have come to class without some of the basic materials to be successful in math class. They would constantly ask me if I had extra pencils, pens, markers, etc. to start their given tasks. During my first year of teaching, my students loved using our supplies corner. This is where I ask for your help.

Our supplies corner is in dire need of an upgrade.

After an eventful school year we are left with 8 pencils, one box of colored pencils, and 20 markers. I want to be able to provide more supplies for students, so the stress of not being able to start or complete an assignment is lessened. Additionally, with the materials I will be able to tap into my students creative side and use the materials to start fun and engaging projects. By supporting this project, I will be able to assist my students with having proper class supplies and tap into their creative side. Thank you for your consideration!
