My Students
"Good hit!", "You got this!" These are the encouraging words you hear from these young baseball players at practice or at a game. Just watching these athletes practice hard and becoming a unit is awesome to witness. Our school serves students in pre-k through 12th grade. It provides a challenging curriculum with many extra curricular activities. Since this school is located near a military base, there are families that come from different cultures. Our team is mixed with athletes who are Native American and Hispanic. The league we are playing in is competitive and we will also play in tournaments. The 12U baseball team consists of 12 boys that are in 4th-6th grade.

These 12 young boys work hard and whether they win or lose they want to learn from their mistakes and get better. They strive to be the best and just love the game of baseball!
My Project
These resources will be essential in providing the tools these boys need to improve their hitting and fielding skills. This 12u baseball team practices two times per week and the coaches provide different practice stations. This allows for every kid to be doing something and gaining the most out of their practice time. The batting tees are going to be used for different hitting drills, such as the 90 degree and the high T drill, also while focusing on players mechanics. The practice glove will help players learn to use two hands to catch the ball, soft hands, and quick hands. The total control balls helps batters gain hitting power and making better contact to the ball.
