it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 18-22 years old, come from diverse backgrounds, and have autism and intellectual disabilities. They are amazing, thoughtful, and determined. I am inspired by them every day, and they motivate me to do my best.
You may be wondering what makes my students so special.
To begin with, they are the most generous and kind students you will ever meet. They are always eager to lend a hand and contribute to the greater good. They have a "never give up" mindset. Despite obstacles and setbacks, they just keep on trying until they achieve their goal!
My Project
My class is made up of 18-22 year old students with autism. They are learning to transition to Post School Adult Living. In addition to learning career and employment skills, they are learning to plan, shop, and prepare meals on their own.
To assist my students in acquiring Independent Living Skills, an Air fryer in the classroom would provide them with an additional resource to prepare meals and snacks on their own.
Cooking in the classroom will give my students the skills and confidence needed to gain independence in a simulated environment.
