Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Remember the first time you stood in front of your class and gave a speech? Or wished you could get out of your chair and sit somewhere comfortably? Well, my students feel the same way and would love to have resources to help these experiences!

I have 25 fifth grade students in a gifted/high achiever class.

They are in constant need of enhancing and enriching the curriculum in order to meet their highest potential. My school is looking to move away from textbooks and experience more hands-on activities but is lacking many of the materials that make this possible.

My Project

My students will have the ability and choice to move around the room and work together as they tackle their work by using the floor seating. The microphones and karaoke machine will allow for oral presentation practice, Sphero will be utilized to learn coding, and the Google cardboard glasses will allow them to visit places without ever leaving the classroom!

My students need these materials in order to create a comfortable learning environment where they can move around and work to their fullest potential.

The technology, like the Google cardboard glasses, will enable them to experience the cutting edge innovations that are being created every day and will inspire them to dream big.
