My Project
My goal is to create a classroom environment where reading is not just a skill but a source of joy and discovery. "Sideways Stories from Wayside School" and "Wayside School is Falling Down" by Louis Sachar offer the perfect blend of humor, creativity, and unexpected twists to engage these students and inspire a love for storytelling.
Beyond literacy skills, these stories encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and an appreciation for the unexpected at a wacky school filled with unforgettable characters and absurdly fun adventures.
The humorous and engaging style helps students develop stronger reading fluency, expand their vocabulary, and improve their comprehension without it feeling like work. These books will show the students that reading isn't just about the words on a page; it's about imagination, laughter, and seeing the world in new ways.
