My Students
My students are a group of eager & excited five-year-olds, who come to school happy and ready to learn. They love to work with their hands to create, build, and explore the world around them. Our school is a Title 1 school, and many of our students come from diverse backgrounds with diverse needs.
While the current demands of Kindergarten is rigorous, we are fortunate that TK allows us to blend appropriate academic skills to prepare students, while also creating opportunities to engage in learning through play and exploration.
My Project
Our students want to know more about how the world works, and they love finding out how things work through fun, interactive projects. Hands-on experiences will help them to form theories to explain "how" and "why" things happen. These STEM kits will not only help the students in my class, but our TK grade level as a whole, explore their imaginations, critical thinking skills, and develop the ability to better problem solve and think out of the box. STEM is a great way to have all students feel included and allow them to utilize their strengths and work on their weaknesses through working together.
