This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher I want the children in my classroom to be lifelong learners. The best way to foster this is to encourage children's natural curiosity through play. STEM toys will provide them with an opportunity to enhance their fine motor skills allowing them to increase their ability to do basic life skills. I would like to supply STEM toys for the children in my classroom to spark an interest in science, technology, and math.
STEM toys support critical thinking, problem solving and fine motor skills.
Each year in Kindergarten I have several children who have poor fine motor skills. With your help and support I plan to incorporate STEM activities within my classroom that will help them accomplish fundamental abilities that will carry them through the future.
