My 22 budding engineers come to our class full of curiosity. They love to explore and figure out how things work.
Their willingness to try out their theories are magical to watch.
Where adults would be cautious, they are risk takers who learn through experimentation and mistakes.
Kindergarten is their first experience with formal education. I love sparking their interest in things and watching them continue to explore independently. What a dream it would be to have a future engineer in my class who can build the next Empire State building.
My Project
With your support, I will receive STEM based supplies and kits for my kindergarten students. These supplies will allow them many opportunities to build, create, and explore how things work. My students will be able to experience problems that engineers run into daily. It is my hope that these activities will strengthen their problem solving skills and ability to work cooperatively within groups to come up with solutions.
These STEM supplies will allow our imaginations to run wild.
They will have fun learning about coding, engineering, and using their observation skills. They will also be learning to be creative with their ideas as well as working on problem-solving skills. The Yacker Tracker will help to keep their excited voices to a learning volume. We hope to be able to be building real soon.
