Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to create a space for girls in technology to create equitable opportunities for my female students to learn and develop coding skills. I hope to enable girls to develop the skills needed to succeed in jobs and learn 21st-century skills.
I hope to teach female students to become Change Makers and change technology's face.
These Mbots will be used as a catalyst to engage my students in engineering, coding, and computer science.
I hope to do this for all my students. However, I want to create a space that leverages the playing field. Of women of color, only 10 percent earn a bachelor's degree, and only 4 percent work in technology.
