Our school is in a very rural area and our students have extremely limited access to scientific inquiry and opportunities.
We are a Title I school and have a large population of low income students with little funds available this year.
We also received a large influx of temporary and homeless students from neighboring counties after hurricane Michael.
My students are from K through 5th grade and each one brings something unique and fun to the science lab.
I have selected a wide variety of items and supplies for my classroom and any and all items that are sent would be appreciated so very much. Since my students do not have chairs a rug would be fantastic as well as any of the science supplies and STEM kits listed,
My Project
A rug would help me keep the class organized and provide a way to make random selections for projects. Since I have K-5th pads/pillows to sit on would be very appreciated by the kids.
The STEM activities are for groups of
eight, which is how I divide the classes into teams. Any or all of the items requested would make a huge difference in the hands on applications of my science lab and I and my students would be very grateful.
Some of the items I would also use with my after hours science club that I volunteer to sponsor including the water sample boxes with magnifiers on top, the nets, and the water testing kits.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
