My Project
Every year, the 8th graders in my class design a blueprint of a sustainable futuristic city, they will then take that blueprint and create a small scale model of the city they designed.
This project has the students using the design thinking process, they start with researching our current infrastructures status then take that information and work on improving the infrastructure for their own sustainable city.
This project tends to require a lot of hands-on supplies. The supplies I am asking for in this DonorsChoose will help bring the blueprints to life. We use tools everyday in the classroom for any number of projects. Having cordless hot glue is a game changer when students are working in the hallway without outlets. Model trees, felt grass, are just some of the supplies we will go through.
