This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a STEM elective class to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. My school is a Title I school where 100% of students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch. My students are curious about the willingness to learn about STEM and technology, which can be difficult to come by for them or are not exposed to due to their family's socioeconomic status.
My Project
Rocketry is interesting topic to students which they enjoy learning about. I want to bring an exciting topic to my students to learn about. Students will learn Engineering design, Measurement, Newton's Laws of motion. These rockets will provide a fun and creative alternative to learn the class curriculum.
These egg rockets will combine rockets with an "egg drop" into one unit where students will see what happens to their payload.
This will be an interesting experience for them to learn and explore. I want my students to be excited about their learning. Please consider helping us.
