My Project
I teach STEM enrichment to Kindergarten through 5th grade students everyday. I would love to give them a new, fun and interactive activity that is hands-on and not on a computer!
A Lite-Brite can be a valuable tool in a STEM class by fostering creativity.
It allows students to explore concepts in light, color, and design in an engaging way. By creating images or patterns with colorful pegs, students can experiment with symmetry, geometry, and spatial reasoning, reinforcing their understanding of these mathematical principles.
A Lite-Brite can enhance teamwork and communication skills among students through collaboration. Working together to create larger projects encourages discussion about design choices and project planning, mirroring real-world STEM projects where collaboration is essential. Overall, incorporating a Lite-Brite into the classroom can create a dynamic and interactive environment that enriches the STEM learning experience.
