My Students

I teach at an amazing, diverse school where my students love math and science experiments. The school that I teach at has many different types of students who each come from very different walks of life. Not all of them have the same opportunities that countless other kids have. They deserve the best we can offer them and I want to provide that for them. We are a Title I school and my students get free lunch and breakfast.

I want my students to know we are more than a Title I school -we are intelligent.

My Project

The 4 Chromebooks will provide my third grade students with a myriad of ways to practice their math, science, and technology skills. My students using Chromebooks will allow me to personalize digital assignments designed to meet my students' individual goals in science and mathematics. My students will use the Chromebooks to practice and monitor their progress in their district mandated math program, iReady Math. Other students will be able to use the Chromebooks to respond to science material they are learning. Using Chromebooks for digital math and science material will enhance students' learning by allowing them to research background information. Utilizing Chromebooks for math and science will help students visualize complex concepts as well as practice and monitor their progress in learning math and science. The tablets will be used for reading during center time. The students will read with a partner and together they will discuss what they have read. They will work together using the tablets to do research.
