My Project
Students learn better when we go "beyond the book" and offer a hands on experience that allows real-world learning. Most of our in school hands on learning equipment for Force and Motion and Electricity/Magnetics is more than 30 years old and have missing piece. These labs and support equipment would allow students to explore first hand in a stations setup.
Research shows that students who receive instruction and explore through real-world, hands-on activities not only gain more knowledge on the subject, but retain more of the information.
These kits are more visually attractive and offer a broader range of information and exploration on the subject matter. This will motivate learners to continue to explore and gather more information.
My students absolutely love science and have the potentual and desire to focus on STEM moving forward which will benefit them no matter what field they study. With proper guidance and resources like these, they will be able to go on to be successful in STEM fields and hopefully choose them as a career.
