This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting 5 pairs of headphones for my classroom to replace the ones that have broken from normal wear and tear. My students use technology daily and 45 kids cycling through headphones means they need to be replenished every few years.

I am also requesting several pairs of solar glasses to give away as prizes to kids in anticipation of the April eclipse.

My students were so excited to view the partial eclipse in October 2023 and it sparked/renewed their interest in Earth science. They are looking forward to the complete eclipse that will take place this spring.
