My Students

I love how strong and resilient my students are. This year has been so difficult for them, but they work hard every day to adapt to their ever changing circumstances. This year there is a huge knowledge gap in my classroom due to COVID schooling situations. It is difficult to meet the needs of all students and I do not want students to get left out in learning. STEM boxes would help enhance learning for those higher students who need challenges as well as those students with higher needs who need to expand their minds with new ways of learning.

My Project

Due to COVID and not enough time spent in the classroom, there are many learning gaps I have to help my students fill. More importantly, these students lack confidence in themselves because they know they have a long way to go. I want to provide them with opportunities to expand their learning in fun ways that are free of the high stakes pressure they often feel when completing even routine assignments. These STEM learning materials will provide them with ways to fill gaps in learning, expand their horizons, and help them feel good about themselves and their learning.
