A typical day in my classroom is very busy! In teaching there is no "typical" day, because every day is filled with new adventures and challenges. I strive to help my students grow in confidence and work hard to teach them to persevere when things are challenging.
Each morning I am greeted with 24 full-of-energy 2nd graders.
Our school is very culturally diverse, and I have several different languages spoken in my classroom. I have very supportive parents, but our community has taken a huge hit with the economy.
My Project
My little engineers are so creative and love STEM activities. These STEM items will be a definite kid favorite and allow my students to use their imaginations in building structures and all types of amazing projects. I'm hoping to encourage a passion for real-life STEM situations and maybe future STEM careers.
These activities make learning fun!
STEM education in school is important to spark an interest in creativity, engineering, and design. The activities I have selected will allow my students to engage in individual and small-group construction, hands-on learning and activities for the students for years to come. STEM is enhancing creativity and enriches the mind greatly!
