This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have transformed the Intervention room to look and feel like a place where scholars want to come. In the past it has been a place to go when you are behind. While it still might be that place, the scholars are not excited to come. Through DonorsChose, we have gotten books, bright colors, new chairs, a calming corner.
Now, we are hoping to get an entire STEM station, where they can explore while still learning.
I am requesting the table as it has magnetic sides, and then additional spots to put the kits. The top will teach length and measurement and ways to compare. Our school is a same gender girls’ school and to provide them with Science and Engineering tools is so exciting. We have a love of literacy campaign, but I don't want to forget about the Science and Math portion that I am so passionate about.
