This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my second year as a Science STEM teacher for the entire fourth and fifth grade students, in a low socio economic urban area. Our district uses the Amplify program. However, this program does not have STEM materials or lessons as part of their curriculum. My goal for the rest of the year is to provide my students with STEM materials, so that they can actually, consistently do activities that require for them to plan, design and build like engineers do.

I believe my students receiving Legos kits, magnetic sticks and Dash bots will inspire them in their learning.
