STEM Students Need Energy to Learn

Help me give my students healthy snacks to eat when they stay after school for tutoring.

My Project

Students are far more likely to succeed academically when they receive additional support above what is provided in the classroom alone. Our students here on the Navajo reservation are encouraged to stay after school to receive tutoring and other educational support.

One of the barriers to students receiving this support is that they are hungry when it is time to go home.

Providing snacks for students who stay after school for tutoring would increase the number of students who stay and would better support their health and learning over giving sugar-filled snacks.
