This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students who are full of energy. They visit the library once per week for a scheduled special. In addition, teachers send students to the library to complete a task or come for a full-class activity. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in makerspace activities and STEM challenges, and are very curious. There are over 1,400 students in our school! I have a large population of English language learners, many of whom are new to the country. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. My students are both general and special education students. They are all amazing kids!
We are requesting more bins to store the abundance of Legos we have just acquired.
This will allow the students to have their bins of Legos for various STEM activities.
