My students come from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds, yet they enter my classroom with excitement and eagerness to learn and grow. In our grade level, our students rotate for math, ELA, and sciences, therefore I will see each and every 4th grade student in our school.
Utilizing technology is one major way I engage my young learners.
My 21st century learners are constantly developing their computer skills in preparation for their successful future in school and in the work force. Together we help prepare ourselves and each other for today and tomorrow, with both academic and emotional goals.
My Project
Today, teaching means preparing our students for jobs that do not even exist yet. The traditional job markets are evolving and becoming very technology-driven and dependent.
IT skill are now a prerequisite for a successful student in the work force.
I want to help mold my students into young engineers and coders. With these circuits we can practice our engineering planning, building, and rebuilding skills! My students also have been exposed to a very basic level of coding using a free educational website. We would love to build our classrooms resources and acquire more Dash and Dot robots and Kindle Fires.
Please help me prepare my students for a successful and meaningful future!
