My Project
Our class is a diverse group of Headstart, VPK, and special needs students, ranging in ages from 3-5 years old. Many come from low-income households, and all bring unique strengths and learning styles. They thrive with hands-on, inclusive learning experiences that spark creativity and build confidence.
Our dream is to build a classroom where creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning come to life—and we need your help to make it happen!
We’re asking for support to bring the ChompSaw Maker Bundle into our classroom. This kid-safe cardboard cutting tool, along with its accessories and Inventor’s Workbook, will allow our students to safely cut, shape, and build with cardboard—turning recycled materials into imaginative creations. It’s a perfect fit for our hands-on, project-based learning approach.
To complement these maker activities, we’re also requesting a collection of books that inspire creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking. These stories and informational texts will help students connect literacy with making, encouraging them to dream big and build boldly.
This project includes everything we need to bring our creations to life—whether we’re building a house, a robot, or even a dinosaur! Letting imaginations soar through STEM activities like this helps our students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and confidence.
